SEK International School Qatar seeks an experienced and creative Director of Learning & Teaching for August 2023 to join our vibrant international community of learners.

The ideal candidate will have: broad leadership experience in an international school, preferably with experience of curriculum development and support in an IB World School; a passion and vision for professional learning for teachers; and the ability to play a key role in our Senior Leadership Team to promote and achieve our values, beliefs and vision.

He/she will be instrumental in supporting IB Coordinators and teachers in promoting best practices of learning and teaching and maintaining optimal learning and academic achievement across the school, within a collaborative learning environment. As a lead learner, he/she will value a holistic approach to students’ pastoral care and promote their positive health and wellbeing. Excellent interpersonal skills and fluency in English are essential, knowledge of Arabic and Spanish are desirable.

Requirements:

- Degree in education, post-graduate, masters (qualification to teach) with experience in management and leadership positions in education.
- Knowledge of ICT fit for position.
- Knowledge of IB programmes and NEASC accreditation
- English as first language or fully bilingual.
- Spanish and/or Arabic will be desirable. Experience in international environments
