The Admissions Officer oversees the full student admissions journey, from initial enquiry through enrolment and family onboarding. This role requires a detailed, current understanding of how the school operates in practice, enabling the Admissions Officer to communicate clearly, accurately, and transparently with prospective families and to ensure that all admissions decisions are aligned with the school’s capacity, resources, and policies. Highly tuned customer serivce skills are an important aspect of this position.
As the school opens for the first time in September 2026, a significant proportion of admissions activity will take place prior to the school being operational and accessible on site, requiring confidence in virtual engagement and remote admissions processes.
Key responsibilities
Manage and control the entire admissions process, ensuring all stages are completed accurately, consistently, and in line with school policy
Act as the primary point of contact for prospective families, providing honest, well-informed communication about the school’s offer, structure, and conditions of enrollment.
Plan, coordinate, and lead school tours, including:
virtual meetings and online presentations during the preopening phase
onsite visits only at approved times, with appropriate permissions and adherence to health and safety requirements
Coordinate tour schedules with school faculty and leadership, confirm appointments with families, and maintain clear protocols so that all visits take place strictly by appointment
Oversee the sharing of admissions information, images, videos, and digital materials, including the appropriate use of materials from the sister school with identical facilities and design
Liaise closely with the School Leadership Team to confirm space availability and ensure admissions decisions reflect staffing, class organisation, and resource capacity
Monitor admissions trends and flag potential capacity or resourcing pressures in advance (e.g. demand indicating the need for an additional class)
Ensure rigorous due diligence prior to admission, including documentation, background information, and confirmation of financial commitments
Work closely with English as Additional Language and Special Educational Needs specialist staff to manage applications for students requiring additional support, ensuring capacity is confirmed and protocols are followed
Ensure families clearly understand expectations, including additional services and associated costs, where applicable
Maintain oversight of all information shared with prospective families, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with school practice
Review and coordinate promotional and admissions materials, ensuring content remains current throughout the preopening and opening phases
Operate and maintain digital admissions systems, ensuring data accuracy, compliance, and clear reporting
Gather and present admissions data to inform leadership planning and decisionmaking
Lead the onboarding process for newly admitted families, coordinating the effective communication of practical information ahead of opening
Experience, skills, and attributes
Previous experience in a school admissions role is highly desirable
Excellent client facing, organizational, and communication skills
Highly detail oriented, process driven, and comfortable managing complex protocols with many steps.
Confident using digital platforms to support virtual admissions and engagement.
Proactive, collaborative, and adaptable in a startup school environment
Native level or very strong proficiency in English is essential
Ability to communicate in Arabic is a significant advantage
Start date
The Admissions Officer must be in post by May 2026
Earlier availability is strongly encouraged and will be considered an advantage
