SEK Catalunya International School is looking for a PYP Arts Teacher to join its academic team for an immediate replacement position.

Mission:

The PYP Art Teacher inspires students to explore, create, and express themselves through the visual arts within an inquiry-based learning environment. The role fosters creativity, critical thinking, and artistic skills while encouraging students to make meaningful connections between art, culture, and the world around them.

Functions:

• Plan and deliver engaging visual arts lessons aligned with the IB Primary Years Programme and school curriculum.

• Foster creativity, self-expression, and inquiry through a variety of artistic techniques, media, and processes.

• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback to support artistic and personal growth.

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop meaningful transdisciplinary learning experiences and connections.

• Create an inclusive and inspiring learning environment that promotes student agency, reflection, and appreciation of diverse cultures and artistic perspectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education or equivalent teaching qualification for primary-aged students.

• Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, Education, or a related field

• Teaching experience (visual arts), preferably in the PYP

• English native speaker or native speaker level.

• Speaking Spanish and/or Catalan will be valued

• Commitment to the ethical and responsible use of AI in accordance with school and IB guidelines.
